The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is the oldest and largest Food & Wine Society in the world. Its origins are based on the traditions and practices of the old French royal guild of meat roasters first formed in the 13th century when King Louis X of France granted the Goose Roasters Guild a title. Revived in 1950, the society has professional and amateur members in more than 90 countries worldwide. In the United States, there are nearly 130 Bailliages (chapters), each offering a variety of culinary activities to suit the interests of local members.
The Napa - Sonoma Bailliage was formed originally in 2012 when a group of Gourmands, Restauranteurs and Chefs, under the leadership of Founding Bailli (Honoraire) Eugene F. Daly, held the first of the society's events. With a brief pause during the COVID19 pandemic, the Bailliage has regrouped in 2023 under the leadership of Bailli Ronald Finolio and continues to grow its membership and plans for exquisite gatherings.
If you are a member of the Chaîne and are interested in restaurant recommendations and wineries in the area, or if you want to attend one of our events, feel free to contact our Bailli Ronald Fenolio or Vice Conseiller Culinaire Sharon Charny-Woschitz. | Upcoming events
